What Is This Guide For?
This guide is for campaign managers, marketers, or platform administrators preparing to launch an AmpPlus campaign. It explains how to grant the necessary permissions and reporting access for both Meta social channels and Google Analytics. These integrations enable AmpPlus to automatically manage, optimise, and measure your campaign amplification and performance with real-time data.
Use this guide before your first AmpPlus campaign goes live to ensure all connections and data flows are in place, helping you avoid delays and get the best results from your campaigns.
Data & Access Requirements
To ensure smooth delivery and optimisation of your campaign, Avid requires real-time visibility on performance metrics, including UTM data. This enables us to accurately assess the effectiveness of each deliverable, monitor pacing, and ensure all guarantees are met across channels.
Access to reporting allows Avid to:
Effectively measure success and optimise in-flight
Deliver accurate and unbiased reporting to you
Eliminate risk of error from manual entry, data gaps, or miscommunications
Reduce reporting strain on your implementation team
To avoid delays, this access must be confirmed and set up before the campaign plan is developed. This is a prerequisite for going live with AmpPlus campaigns. We recommend aligning on your preferred reporting method prior to contract finalisation, so everything is ready immediately upon signing.
For any questions or support, please contact your Avid representative.
Step 1: Establish Google Analytics Reporting Access
Step 1: Establish Google Analytics Reporting Access
Using an API connection for Google Analytics is the recommended and most reliable method to deliver daily performance data to Avid. It ensures:
Seamless daily syncing of your GA data
Full visibility into campaign delivery, even across multiple channels
Supports integration into PubSuite’s Automated Reporting
We can monitor Article Views and achieve the guaranteed deliverables, and distinguish between organic/ your/ partner activity and AmpPlus activity
To connect your account, you Client Success Manager will create your PubSuite Workspace and set up your user login credentials. Once you receive your login, follow the steps in this How-To Guide to connect your account. This is the same process you’ll follow for all of your digital channels, including Meta.
If you have previously granted Avid access within the last 6 months, you might not need to action this again.
In special cases where you are unable to connect directly through PubSuite's AI integration as outlined above, here are your options:
Share a Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) dashboard: As an alternative to connecting via API. Visit this How-To Guide to learn how.
Send a custom Google Analytics report: Share a report tailored to your campaign.
Propose an alternate daily reporting method: Discuss other options that work best for you - please coordinate with your Avid contact.
Please note: Manual reporting via email is not sufficient, unless you can commit to providing the updates daily.
Step 2: Establish Meta Amplification and Reporting Access
Step 2: Establish Meta Amplification and Reporting Access
Avid requires two distinct Meta access permissions to run your AmpPlus bookings:
Amplification Access
To allow AmpPlus to amplify your campaign content across Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), you’ll need to grant Avid the appropriate permissions through your Meta Business Manager.
This access allows Avid to:
Amplify or boost selected campaign content as part of your approved booking
View performance insights for those specific amplified or boosted posts
Follow the steps in this How-To Guide to grant Avid permission to amplify your content on Meta.
Reporting Access
To enable automated campaign reporting via PubSuite’s Automated Reporting tool, you’ll need to authorise Meta insights access.
This permission allows us to:
Automatically retrieve daily campaign performance data from Meta Ads
Combine insights with data from other sources like Google Analytics for centralised reporting
Our integration partner, Supermetrics acts as the connector between your Meta account and PubSuite's Automated Reporting system.
Follow the same steps as outlined in the GA access section by following this How-To Guide to connect your Meta channels via API.
If you have previously granted Avid access within the last 6 months, you might not need to action this again.
Content Requirements
When you have made an AmpPlus booking, to proceed with activation, we will require the following:
Requirement | Details |
Live Content Link | Required across all formats. We need a minimum of 2 business days once the link is provided to push the campaign live. Any delays in providing a live link may shift the live date. |
[Optional] Images | If not embedded in content, please supply at least 2 options (especially for Apple News, RON Native Ads, Standard Native Ads and Premium In-Feed Native).
For more information on asset and specifications, visit this guide. |
Additional Notes:
Ad Creatives: Avid will create the ad copy and asset based on your live content, mirroring your messaging and tone so review and approval is not required, unless otherwise specified. If you'd like to review the ad creatives before it goes live, please flag this early - note that any delay in approval on your end may impact the go-live date.
Imagery: If current images underperform, we may request alternates or use stock imagery (you will be notified in either case).
Creative Review: Not standard, but available on request. Additional time may be needed to incorporate this.
