Data & Access Requirements

To ensure smooth delivery and optimisation of your campaign, Avid requires real-time visibility on performance metrics, including UTM data. This enables us to accurately assess the effectiveness of each deliverable, monitor pacing, and ensure all guarantees are met across channels.

Access to reporting provides our team the ability to effectively measure success and optimise in-flight. To avoid delays, this access must be confirmed and set up before the campaign plan is developed.

This is a prerequisite for going live with AmpPlus campaigns. We recommend aligning on your preferred reporting method prior to contract finalisation, so everything is ready immediately upon signing.

For any questions or support, please contact your Avid representative.

Step 1: Google Analytics Access

If you are a current user of our Automated Reporting tool, you can set up API connections for Google Analytics via our How-To Guide. If you'd like to view the full campaign delivery—combining both your data and AmpPlus data in one place, we recommend setting up similar data connections for your other social channels as well. Learn how in this How-To Guide.

If you aren't a current user of our Automated Reporting tool, you can provide automated daily performance reports via one of the following methods:

  • Integrate your Google Analytics (GA) account with PubSuite: Connect your GA account with our tool to enable automatic data syncing with PubSuite.

  • Share a Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) dashboard: Follow the steps in this How-To Guide to grant Avid access to your Google Analytics data.

  • Send a custom Google Analytics report: Share a report tailored to your campaign

  • Propose an alternate daily reporting method: Discuss other options that work best for you—please coordinate with your Avid contact.

Please note: Manual reporting via email is not sufficient, unless you can commit to providing the updates daily.

This ensures we can monitor Article Views and achieve the guaranteed deliverables, and distinguish between:

  • Organic/ your/ partner activity

  • AmpPlus activity

If you have previously granted Avid access within the last 6 months, you might not need to action this again.

Step 2: Meta Access

If you’d like your campaign content to be amplified across Meta (Facebook/ Instagram), please grant AmpPlus approval to amplify content and view relevant Insights via your Meta profile.

Follow the steps in this How-To Guide to connect your Meta Business account.

As above, if you have previously granted Avid access within the last 6 months, you might not need to action this again.

Why We Need This

Benefits to you:

  • Accurate and unbiased reporting

  • Eliminate risk of error from manual entry and communications

  • Reduce strain on your implementation team, by removing the need for them to manually report on social results. We can automatically report on your content performance throughout the campaign

Why We Need Google Analytics Access

We rely on these insights to:

  • Track how many article views are delivered

  • Attribute performance correctly between organic/partner sources and AmpPlus activity

  • Manage amplification effectively (drop-off rates can vary due to site design, load times, etc.)

Why We Need Meta Access

Without this access, we cannot:

  • Boost or optimise your campaign posts

  • Accurately report on performance across Meta channels

FAQs

No. We will only access what’s needed for the campaign. Your existing data remains private.

Can Avid post content as us?

No. We can only boost posts you’ve already published that are part of our campaign.

Do you collect or retain data beyond the campaign?

No. We only access and analyse campaign-related data—and nothing more.
