Learn how Asset Validation helps ensure uploaded creative assets meet the required specifications before submission — reducing errors, improving efficiency, and accelerating campaign delivery across supported formats.
Overview
Asset Validation helps ensure advertisers upload the correct creative assets before submission. By applying product-level validation rules, Campaign Manager automatically checks uploaded files against required specifications — reducing errors, avoiding delays, and improving campaign turnaround times.
Asset Validation is available across supported creative formats, including audio and other media types such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, PDF, TIFF, TIF, BMP, SVG, MP4, MOV, QT, AVI, MWV, WEBM, and FLV.
Why Asset Validation Matters
Creative assets often need to meet strict technical requirements. Incorrect uploads can result in:
Campaign delays
Rejected creatives
Additional back-and-forth between teams
Manual validation work
Production rework
Asset Validation reduces these issues by validating assets upfront and guiding advertisers during upload.
Where Asset Validation Lives
Asset Validation is configured within the Product Form, alongside other asset settings and requirements.
Validation can be enabled per product depending on campaign needs.
Validation Rules
Once enabled, Campaign Manager automatically validates uploaded assets against the configured rules before submission.
Validation settings may include:
File Type — Restrict uploads to accepted file formats (e.g. MP3, WAV, MP4, JPG, PNG)
File Size — Set minimum and maximum file size limits
Duration — Enforce duration requirements for supported media formats such as audio or video
Bitrate — Configure minimum and maximum bitrate requirements for audio products only
What Advertisers Experience
When Asset Validation is enabled:
Advertisers are shown clear upload requirements before submission
Uploaded assets are automatically checked against configured rules
Invalid assets are flagged immediately with clear feedback
Non-compliant assets cannot be submitted
Teams spend less time manually reviewing or correcting assets
Campaigns move through production faster and with fewer revisions
Summary
Asset Validation helps standardise creative submissions across Campaign Manager by enforcing product-specific upload requirements before submission.
By combining clear advertiser guidance with automated validation, teams can reduce operational overhead, improve asset quality, and accelerate campaign delivery across audio and other supported formats.
