Introduction
This guide offers best practice details for the assets and files required for your campaign. Providing the right assets by format helps Media Owners plan production effectively and reduces the risk of delays or rework. Some Media Owners may have their own specific requirements, which will be shared with you at the start of your campaign.
Asset Overview:
Imagery: High-quality images to support your campaign content.
Logos: Approved logos in correct formats and sizes for brand consistency.
Brand Guidelines: Guidance on tone, visual identity, and brand representation.
Legal or Compliance Requirements: Any regulatory or compliance standards to follow.
Assets Required for Videos: Includes scripts, product shots, CTAs, and logo usage.
Assets Required for Display: Ad creatives in correct sizes and formats, with destination URLs.
Assets Required for Solus EDM: Email banners, CTAs, and landing page URLs.
Why Include These Assets Upfront:
Providing these assets early ensures smooth production, reduces delays, and helps Media Owners create content that is compliant, on-brand, and ready to go live without repeated revisions.
Understanding Required Assets
Media Owners may require specific assets for campaigns, including images, videos, display creatives, or EDM banners. Requirements may cover:
File type (JPEG, PNG, MP4, MP3, etc.)
Size or resolution
Quality standards
You’ll see which assets are required via your Campaign Form at the beginning of campaign production. Assets can be uploaded anytime via the Files Tab, within the Campaign Form.
Primary vs Supplementary Content
Primary content: The main assets used in your campaign (e.g. hero images, main video).
Supplementary content: Supporting assets such as additional images, thumbnails, or alternative video cuts.
Validation can apply to both types, so ensure all required files meet specifications to allow the campaign to proceed.
Asset Validation and Compliance
If asset validation is enabled for a product, the system automatically checks uploaded assets against predefined specifications:
File Type – only accepted formats are allowed
File Size – ensures minimum and maximum limits are met
Dimensions – images and videos must meet resolution requirements
Quality – applies to audio/video (e.g., bitrate)
When an asset passes validation, it is accepted.
If it fails, the system displays an actionable error message (e.g., “File size exceeds the maximum allowed” or “Image dimensions too small”).
Handling Invalid Assets
Invalid assets cannot be used until corrected.
Replace the asset with a compliant version; the system revalidates automatically.
Campaigns or content pieces cannot go live until all required assets are validated.
