When To Use the Word Doc Import
If your client provides feedback using a Microsoft Word document instead of commenting directly in the platform, you can use the Import From Word feature to upload their feedback into the Content Editor.
This feature imports the entire document, including tracked changes, comments, and formatting so all feedback is stored in one place. This reduces manual copying and pasting and helps ensure nothing is missed.
How To Import a Word Document
Click inside the Article Body Text editor.
Select the Import From Word icon in the toolbar (document with a “W” and arrow).
A file upload window will appear.
Locate the updated Word document on your computer.
Click Open.
The editor will automatically upload the document and include tracked changes and comments.
What Happens After the Import
Once imported:
Inserted text appears in green
Deleted text appears in red
Comments appear in yellow in the right-hand comments panel
You can then:
Add additional comments
Make further tracked edits
Continue your review as normal
Best Practice Tips
Always use Import From Word instead of copying and pasting.
Double-check formatting after upload (headings, spacing, images, links).
Make sure you’re uploading the most recent version of the document.
If multiple reviewers are involved, consolidate feedback into one Word doc before importing.
