1. Once inside the EDM Content Review, start by reviewing the Lead Image Media, then move through each section using the dropdowns:

  • Lead image

  • Subject line

  • Primary outbound link

  • Additional links

  • Preview URL

  • EDM body text

Note: This guide assumes you’re already inside an EDM Solus Content Review. If you need help accessing content reviews, follow the steps in How to Review Campaign Content

2. Click each dropdown to expand and review every section of the content piece, starting with Lead Image Media (Image).

3. To share feedback, select "Request Revisions", add your comments, then click "Add Feedback".

You can also choose to:

  • Apply the same feedback to other elements

  • Mark feedback as Urgent, if needed

Tip: EDMs support your campaign by driving traffic and engagement, often delivering high quality traffic from engaged subscribers. They’re written in the publisher’s voice and tailored to the EDM format, with editorial, light branded messaging typically performing best.

4. Once feedback has been added for a section, click "Review Complete".

5. Repeat this process for the "Article Title", "Primary Outbound Link", "Additional Links" and "Preview URL", where you can add relevant feedback aligned to each section.

6. In the EDM Body Text section, you’ll find:

  • Public Viewing Link – a shareable link that allows external teams, such as Legal or Compliance, to view the draft

  • Public Recommend Changes Link – a shareable link that allows external teams to view the draft and leave feedback.

7. You can add feedback directly within the EDM text:

  • Highlight text to add a comment or suggestion (yellow)

  • Enter replacement copy to request an update (green)

  • Remove text to recommend deletion (red)

All feedback added here is shared directly with the publisher.

8. To add a comment, highlight the relevant text and select "Comment" to share your feedback.

For more information on leaving feedback, view here: How To: Review an Article

9. When you add a comment, the selected text will highlight in yellow and a comment box will appear.

Add your feedback, then select the green "Comment" button to submit.

10. To suggest new copy, type directly into the text. Your updates will appear in green, making it easy for publishers to see what’s changed.

To recommend removing content, delete the text. Removed sections will appear in red, so publishers can quickly action the update.

You can view any previous feedback by clicking “Comment Archive”.

  • Comment Archive: Tracks all past comments so you can check whether suggested updates have been addressed.

  • From the archive, you also have the option to revert to a previous approach if needed, restoring an earlier version of the content.

11. Select "Item Review Complete" once you’ve finished reviewing that section. When all sections have been completed, you’ll see "All Items Have Been Reviewed", confirming the review is finished.

If you need to pause, select "Save & Complete Later" and return at any time. When all feedback is final, select "Complete and Submit Review".

Submitting your review will either complete your internal review or if you’re the final reviewer, send the feedback directly to the publisher.
