Getting Started & Eligibility

Who can participate?

Any Media Owners from independents to large media groups and enterprises can register. We’re building for all Publisher or Media Owner sizes and types.

What does it cost to participate in Collab Platform?

Media Owners can participate free of charge. In future, there will be optional premium platform features and placements available for those looking to enhance their visibility.

Can I appear in Collab Platform if I’m not a PubSuite customer?

Yes, you can. Additionally, any Advertisers can also invite you into their Collab Platform, and you don’t need to have PubSuite tools to join.

I'm interested in using PubSuite as my internal operating system. Can I adopt PubSuite tools independently (Shopfront, Manager, Builder or Reporting), or do we need the full suite?

Yes, all tools are designed to be modular.

Understanding Collab Platform Vs PubSuite

What’s the difference between PubSuite tools and Collab Platform?

PubSuite is the operating system Media Owners can use to modernise how they sell, manage, and report campaigns internally. It operates on a subscription fee basis.

Collab Platform is powered by PubSuite, modernising how Advertisers engage, manage briefs and campaigns with Media Owners. It aims to drive growth by making Media Owners more accessible to Advertisers in a centralised directory. Participation for media owners is free.

What Agencies or Advertisers are adopting this Collab Platform?

We’re working with major holding groups, independents, and client teams.

Why are Agencies or Advertisers adopting this Collab Platform?

To reduce friction and simplify how media partnerships are bought and sold, making it easier to invest more into the channel. Historically, this category has been complex and time-consuming, limiting its share of spend.

How will my relationship with Agencies or Advertisers change?

You continue to own the relationship. The platform simply facilitates and streamlines the process. Avid does NOT respond to briefs on your behalf - Agencies and Advertisers buy directly from you.

Visibility, Profiles & Discovery

How will my Profile be visible to Advertisers?

Your Profile is what becomes visible to Advertisers inside a Collab Platform. You control what's included.

Can we create Agency or Advertiser specific pricing and packages?

When you submit a brief response, only the Agency or Advertiser that has briefed you is able to see it.

How do we get discovered and shortlisted?

Advertisers use the exploration and search tools to filter by audience, format, turnaround time, category, and more. You appear based on the information you make available.

What do Profiles include, and how customisable are they?

Profiles are designed with a consistent structure so Advertisers can easily find and compare key information. While there are some required fields, there are also optional sections - that you can choose to complete. This means that although the Profiles look familiar, the depth of information can vary depending on what you choose to include.

Briefing, Collaboration & Competition

Do Media Owners compete for briefs inside a Collab Platform?

Agencies choose who they want to brief and have the ability to brief competitively. However, there is no open “marketplace” where your prices are publicly listed and no competitive bidding space where Media Owners or Publishers see each other.

Will I need to collaborate with other Publishers or Media Owners?

No. You engage directly with Agencies or Advertisers who briefed you. Collaboration with other Media Owners is not required unless requested or specified by the Advertiser.

Do we have to respond to briefs in-platform?

You need to submit your responses in-platform via our Brief Manager tool, however, you can continue to produce your usual decks, PDFs or spreadsheets and upload them as supporting documents. The platform simply facilitates this process.

What if we want to continue working directly with Advertisers or Agencies?

Absolutely. The platform doesn’t require exclusivity or replace direct relationships.

Control, Privacy & Commercial Terms

Will other Publishers or Media Owners see my profile or commercial information?

No. Your profile is only visible to Advertisers.

Can I include my trading agreements, value banks and rates with specific Agencies or Advertisers?

Yes - you can include this as an attachment to a brief response, and it is only visible to the Advertisers you submit it to.

Do we keep control of our pricing and trading terms?

Yes. You own and manage all commercial terms directly with Agencies or Advertisers.

How are platform fees handled and disclosed? Are platform fees involved for publishers or agencies, and how is billing handled?

Platform usage fees are charged to Advertisers or Agencies, not Media Owners or Publishers. The amount you are briefed on in the platform is the total budget for you, but will likely still require agency commission to be paid. Billing stays between you and the agency. If you're a PubSuite customer, Advertisers may also benefit from a discounted fee when working with you through Collab Platform, which means there's a commercial incentive for Advertisers to book with PubSuite users specifically.

SetUp, Onboarding & Workflow

Is this a finished product or still evolving?

We're in our Pilot phase and are continuously releasing new features and AI-powered tools to make workflows even faster and simpler. Features have been rigorously tested but if you notice anything, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support team (chatbot on the bottom right hand corner in-platform). Joining now means you’ll benefit from early access and help shape the roadmap.

How do briefs from Collab Platform reach the right person on my team?

Soon, you will be able to assign specific sales contacts per Advertiser organisation, so any brief that comes in through Collab Platform is routed directly to the right person's task list with no manual sorting needed.

For now, we'd advise that you ensure the Profile Enquiries Manager assigned on your Profile is current and accurate.

I’m a PubSuite customer, will my team need to manage two separate workflows, one for PubSuite and one for Collab Platform?

No. Collab Platform mirrors the same brief stages your team already runs in PubSuite, so there's no rework or context-switching. You also get one consolidated task list that brings together both your internal PubSuite workflows and any external briefs coming in from Collab Platform.
